Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round - Honoka 02

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round’s New Busty Character Honoka

With the launch of Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round just around the corner, Tecmo has release a trailer for the second new character being added to the games roster. If the cyborg return of Raidou didn’t excite you, maybe DOA’s bustiest female fighter, Honoka, will get a rise out of you? That’s right, this pink haired schoolgirl is being advertised as having the largest bra size of the entire female cast, but does she have what it takes to throw down in a fight? Honoka takes her favorite moves copied from various sources and fighting styles, and combines them into a unique style which she calls “Honoka Fu”. Since her physical condition is that of an average teenage girl, her moves may not always have the same power or reach as the fighter she learned them from. In her Hissatsu-no-Kamae stance, however, she is imbued with an unbelievable strength and becomes capable of techniques she has never seen from any other fighter.

Kotobukiya Street Fighter Cammy Bishoujo Statue

Cammy -Bishoujo Version- 1/7th Scale Statuette Review

With the release of Street Fighter IV’s Omega Mode and news that Street Fighter V is in the works, I felt inclined to pick up some new Street Fighter swag to add to my collection. Imagine my surprise when I found this highly detailed Cammy statuette for under $65 on Amazon! Based on an illustration by Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita, this 1/7th scale statue represents Cammy in all her sexy glory. If you like Cammy or just want a great statue in general, you won’t be disappointed with this one. From head to toe this statue has a level of detail that puts some higher priced statues to shame.

Manufactured by Kotobukiya, Cammy is 1/7 scale, and seems reasonably large, compared to early 1/8th scale bishoujo figures. She’s practically ready for display right out of the box, her only ‘accessories’ being two stickers that you can affix to the base. Neither visible in these product shots, but for those who are curious, one is a Street Fighter logo and the other is a reproduction of the artwork this figure is based on.

Akame ga Kill Anime Series 23

Akame Ga Kill – Anime Series Review

Every once in a while, the stars will align just right, and a manga series you enjoy will be adapted into an anime. Your favorite setting, your favorite overarching plot, and your favorite character tropes: everything is in place to give you an incredible viewing experience that will stay with you for a long time to come. However, even when all of the proper elements are in place, the possibility of something ruining the formula still exists. So, when this happens, is it still possible to extract enough enjoyment out of the series to say that it was worth it?

The story in Akame Ga Kill goes as this. A boy named Tatsumi sets out to the capital to earn money for his starving village. He soon comes to a realization that the capital is corrupted. Before falling prey into the corrupted government himself, Tatsumi is recruited into Night Raid, a group of assassins who dedicate their lives to erasing the corruption of the capital’s Prime Minister and child Emperor and killing those who are responsible.

Drifters Featured Manga Review

Drifters – The Hellsing Creators Latest Manga Series

Drifters, is the manga that Kouta Hirano has been working on since ending the Hellsing series. Okay, so right there, you should expect that it’s going to contain some blood, dark humor, violence…and, well, more violence! Set in a magical world that’s been overrun by humans, Historical characters are resurrected from death to clash with one another in action packed battles. Just like in his previous work, Kouta,  depicts the chaos and insanity of the story he’s created with his unique art style we’ve grown to love. If you’re in to things like History, real world Generals, war, strategy, and violence, then Drifters just might be the manga you’ve been looking for.

Think back through all the alternate universe/ timeline plots you’ve read and you’ll probably realize they all have one thing in common…it definitely has something to do with the modern world. Indeed, whether it is a ninja arriving in modern time or some kid who went to the demon world, there’s always a link to our daily life so we can relate to it better… Drifter throws that out the window

Zankyou No Terror Featured Image

Zankyou no Terror – Anime Series Review

Zankyou no Terror, otherwise known as Terror in Resonance, is an anime with a much different focus than that of other shows. This is a show which is based around the theme of terrorism but it’s not only the fact that this theme is seemingly different than that of others that makes it stand out, but it’s the execution that really makes the show seem like a piece of art. The visuals, the sounds, the characters, there just seems to be a lot of attention to detail. The show itself spans 11 episodes and aired towards the later stages of the summer of 2014. Shinichirō Watanabe, who has in the past done much loved shows such as Cowboy Bebop, worked together with Yoko Kano and Studio Mappa, to produce something that can only really be called a piece of art.
